Weekly Deploy Validator

A console app at VakıfBank that runs after every weekly production deployment. It reports the UI, application and database objects deployed that week, detects incomplete deployments, and runs a code review with an enterprise LLM, sending a separate email to each team's manager.

What Problem Does It Solve?

Production deployments happen weekly and on a schedule. After every deployment, the same questions came up: What was deployed this week? Did all of my team's changes go out? Did anything slip through in the deployed code?

Weekly Deploy Validator is a console app I wrote to answer those questions automatically every week.

💡

The app runs at VakıfBank on a model hosted on the bank's own LLM infrastructure. The source code belongs to the bank.

What Does It Do?

It's triggered every week via Task Scheduler and does three things:

StepOutput
Deployment reportA list of the UI, application (App) and database (DB) objects deployed to prod that week
Incomplete deployment detectionObjects that were planned but not deployed, or whose dependencies are missing
Code reviewA review of the deployed changes by an enterprise LLM

Since each team has its own, different deployments, the report is split by team. Each team's manager gets only their own team's report by email, and the department also gets a summary of the week.

How Does It Work?

The app talks to a workflow on the bank's enterprise LLM platform through its API. For code review, it uses a model hosted inside the bank, so the code never leaves the bank. Since a week's deployment can be large, I chose the model with the largest context window.

Task Scheduler (weekly)
└─ Weekly Deploy Validator (console app)
├─ Azure DevOps: the week's deployment records
├─ UI / App / DB object list + incomplete deployment check
├─ In-house LLM workflow: code review
       └─ Email: per-team reports + department summary

Results

Checking the weekly deployment no longer depends on comparing lists by hand. Incomplete deployments are visible as soon as the report arrives, and the code review notes sit in the same email.
